About us
Dr. Ashish Pillai is a versatile dancer, teacher, choreographer, and psychologist. He is well trained in Bharatnatyam, Kathak and Mohiniattam. He began his training under his father at the age of 6 in Bharatnatyam Style and did his arangetram . He learnt kathak under Guru Dr. Ragini Makkhar at Nadyog and currently under the guidance of Padmashri Guru Dr. Puru Dadheech ji and Guru Dr. Vibha Dadheech ji . He also underwent Training in Natyashastra under Guru Kalamandalam Piyal Bhattacharya ji. He keeps on reinventing and continues to train under leading gurus. He has been conffered with numerous awards, honours and titles, including Nritya Shiromani, Nritya Bhushan, Nritya Surbhi, National Meera Samman, Kala Gaurav, Gem Talent of India and many more. He has travelled across India and has given perfomances internationally at Nepal, Singapore, Thailand, Hongkong.etc. He is an examiner for Practical Dance exams of Akhil Bharatiya Gandharv Mahavidyalay Mandal.
Dr Ashish Pillai is a gold medalist in MA (Psychology) from Devi Ahilya University, Indore. He practices as a Rehabilitation Psychologist and is registered with Rehabilitation council of India, Delhi. He writes columns for various news paper and has published various research papers in international journals. He has also published his book titled “Blossoms” which is an anthology of poem and is available online.
